Maya and Luz (Ma-uz) met in 2008 while collecting donations for a fundraiser, beginning a creative friendship that would grow over the years.

MAUZ started in the summer of 2022, while Maya was travelling and dreaming of an earring collection inspired by the bold spirit of vintage jewellery and pieces reminiscent of her mother’s collection. At the time, there was also a shortage of truly unique statement pieces in Dubai. When she shared the idea with Luz, they discovered Luz had just enrolled in a jewellery-making class. It felt like the right moment, and MAUZ was born from shared excitement, creativity, and timing.

Today, MAUZ curates bold statement pieces that celebrate individuality, confidence, and self-expression.
